Sorry Beyonce, Billie Eilish Might Actually Be Singing The James Bond Theme Song

Billie Eilish is either trolling fans or has subtly confirmed she’s singing the new James Bond theme song.

The Bad Guy singer is favourite to sing the theme tune for the next Bond movie, No Time To Die, which will see Daniel Craig take on the British spy for the final time.

Well, Billie has now added fuel to the rumours by cryptically sharing photos of eight iconic Bond girls from the franchise’s 50-year history. Among them are Halle Berry playing Jinx Johnson from 2002’s Die

Another Day, Daniela Bianchi as Tatiana Romanova in 1963’s From Russia With Love and Catherina Murino as Solange Dimitrios from 2006’s Casino Royale.

Billie, 18, offered no explanation for the posts but it’s clear she’s having a good time making everyone play the guessing game. Evidence is mounting that points to Billie the chosen one.

Some have noticed that Billie and her brother, songwriter Finneas O’Connell, are two of the 80 people followed by No Time To Die director Cary Joji Fukanaga on Instagram.

If Eilish does land the job, she will be the youngest person in history to sing the James Bond theme song. And also pretty impressive given the fact she really only rose to stardom last year.

The James Bond theme song has been sung by some of music’s finest, including Shirley Bassey’s Diamonds Are Forever, Madonna’s Die Another Day, Adele’s Skyfall and Sam Smith’s Writing’s On The Wall.

Adele won an Oscar for best original song for Skyfall while Sam’s track Writing’s On The Wall became the first Bond theme to reach number one on the UK charts.

The rumours surrounding Billie splash cold water on speculation that Beyonce will be singing the theme for No Time To Die. Earlier this month, the Single Ladies singer shared a photo of her sipping a martini at the Golden Globes sparking the rumours.

Of course, a martini is Bond’s favourite tipple – shaken not stirred, of course. No Time To Die, which also stars Rami Malek, Naomi Harris, Lea Seydoux and Christoph Waltz, is set for release on 12 April.
