Gary Neville Angry With Man United For Allowing 19-Year Old Player Score Against Them

Former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville, has blasted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men for allowing 19-year-old midfielder, Matty Longstaff score Newcastle United’s only goal in the Red Devils’ 1-0 Premier League defeat at St James’ Park on Sunday.

Neville said Man United players failed to identify danger and prevent the game from “drifting away” from them, adding that they were not ruthless and clinical against Newcastle.

“It’s a mirror of the West Ham game,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“When you don’t grab games by the scruff of the neck in the first half and you let games drift, you’re always susceptible to a goal.

“When the goal goes in, the game can just come away from you and that’s what’s happened for Manchester United.

“They’re not ruthless and clinical. They don’t see the danger of the game drifting every five minutes.

“They think they’re OK in games, but they’re not.”

Man United will now face Premier League leaders, Liverpool in their next fixture.
